Fresh Live Mussels
Mussels are delicious and work wonderfully with a variety of flavours. What’s more, mussels are excellent value! Cooking them is surprisingly simple too; clean the shells and steam for a few minutes in a small amount of liquid, such as white wine or cider, until the shells open. Be sure to discard any mussels where the shell hasn’t opened after cooking or where the shell is open before cooking. The remaining liquid is simply delicious, so have some crusty bread on-hand to mop up the tasty juice!
