Arbroath Smokies

Arbroath Smokies are a British classic! Only around fifteen businesses actually produce and supply the whole country with Arbroath Smokies, all based in and around the Arbroath, including the small fishing village of Auchmithie. They are still prepared using the traditional method that dates back hundred of years. Haddock is salted and dried, before being tied together and hung over a hardwood fire. The fire is sealed in a barrel with moist jute sacks, which creates the intense, humid smoke that gives Arbroath Smokies their signature flavour. Our Arbroath Smokies are a sold per 500g portion.

Serving Suggestion

Keep it simple with Abroath Smokies. Grill with butter to reheat and serve with bacon, or make your own delicious pate.
