Fourth of July Burger
Whether you are an American ex-pat longing for a taste of home or you're just a lover of American food, our fourth of July Burger is just the trick.
Ingredients
3/4 cup self raising flour
1 cup chilled beer
Oil for deep frying
Skinless, boneless haddock fillets, cut to size
Broche rolls
Cheese
Cucumber
Onion
Rocket
Skinny Fries
Method
01. Whick the flour and beer together until smooth.
02. Heat the oil in a deep, heavy pan.
03. Dip the fish fillets in to the batter, allow excess to drop off.
04. Carefully lower the fish in to the oil.
05. Cook for around 4-6 minutes until cooked and golden brown in colour.
06. Drain on a paper towel.
07. Lightly toast your brioche rolls and then add your cooked fish. Top with cheese and pop under the grill for about 30 seconds.
08. Add your cucumber, onion and rocket and plate up.
09. Serve with skinny fries and maybe even a portion of slaw.
10. Tuck in, enjoy!
